Olympics & Paralympics

A testament to the power of human movement to achieve the impossible, our partnership with the Olympic and Paralympic Movements is one demonstration of our global commitment to bringing better mobility for all. As the Official Mobility Partner of the Canadian Olympic Committee and the Canadian Paralympic Committee, Toyota could not be more proud of all our Team Canada athletes who represent us so well on the world stage, as well as: Canada Basketball Women’s National Team, Wheelchair Basketball Women’s National Team, Wheelchair Basketball Men’s National Team, and Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team.

Senior Women’s National Basketball Team

After a strong showing at the Tokyo Olympics, the Senior Women’s National Team powered their way to the quarterfinals of the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2022. Playing against the Australian home team, they lost but achieved 4th place – their best finish in over 36 years.

Senior Women’s National Wheelchair Basketball Team

One of the most successful teams in Canadian amateur sport, the Senior Women’s National Team is the only wheelchair basketball team to win 3 Paralympic gold medals in a row, and 4 World Championships in a row. Today they are highly regarded around the world and a perennial favourite at any tournament they enter.

Senior Men’s National Wheelchair Basketball Team

One of the top wheelchair basketball teams in the world, the Senior Men’s National Team is a force to be reckoned with. With numerous international successes including three gold medals at the 2000, 2004, and 2012 Paralympic Games , they are recognized as a world leader in the sport.

Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team

Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team has qualified for the last four Olympic Football Tournaments – the only nation to reach the podium at both London 2012, Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020, where Canada captured a historic Gold Medal win. The Canadian women have history and momentum on their side – thanks to their captain Christine Sinclair who set the world’s all-time international goal scoring record as one of the most-capped active international footballers.
