This includes a wide range of useful enhancements to the Remote Connect service, which allows drivers to manage their vehicle from their mobile device.

Just like on select current vehicles, the new Toyota Remote Connect capabilities include stopping and starting the vehicle engine, –

– locking and unlocking doors, –

– turning on the hazard lights*, –

– and viewing vehicle status information, like the fuel level.

All of these features can be operated from the Remote Services tile within your Toyota app dashboard.

To enable Remote Connect features, the vehicle and driver must be registered and enrolled in an active Remote Connect trial or subscription

Another great part of Remote Connect is the ability to set up driving alerts.

This is extremely handy in cases where the vehicle may be driven by a valet or family members.

To do this, tap Guest Driver Settings from the app’s Remote Services tile, and then choose an existing alert.

From this settings screen, you can toggle the alert on or off, and define the trigger, like if a certain speed limit or distance is exceeded.
