2Before towing, confirm your vehicle and trailer are compatible, hooked up and loaded properly and that you have any necessary additional equipment. If gross trailer weight is above 6,000 lb (2,721 kg), it is necessary to use a weight-distributing hitch with sufficient capacity. Do not exceed any Weight Ratings and follow all instructions and cautions from your trailer-hitch manufacturer and in your Owner’s Manual. The maximum you can tow depends on base curb weight plus the total weight of any cargo, occupants, and added vehicle equipment. “Added vehicle equipment” includes additional standard/optional equipment and accessories added by the manufacturer, dealers, and/or vehicle owners. The only way to be certain of your vehicle’s exact curb weight is to weigh your vehicle without passengers or cargo.

If your vehicle is equipped with a kick sensor, installation of a tow hitch receiver or other accessories located near the rear bumper may require disabling or removing the kick sensor, and the sensor operation setting in your vehicle should be turned off. See Owner’s Manual for limitations.

Rear Differential

Engage the standard Electronically Locking Rear Differential with the press of a button to evenly distribute engine power to both rear wheels to provide better traction control while maneuvering through difficult terrain.

Stabilizer Disconnect Mechanism

To increase stability performance, Land Cruiser allows you to activate the front Stabilizer Bar as desired. Turn it on to increase stability for higher-speed on-road performance or let it loose for greater wheel articulation during your off-road excursions.

Full-Time 4WD

With the Full-Time 4WD, power is sent to the front and rear axles continuously for a confident drive. With the push of a button, you can lock the center differential to give Land Cruiser even more off-roading capabilities.

Crawl Control (CRAWL) is an advanced system that automatically modulates the throttle and brakes on low-speed settings.

Using the Toyota App9 on your smartphone is a great way to stay in touch with your vehicle. It allows you to remote start and stop your vehicle, or lock and unlock your doors. Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian (Daytime & Low-Light) & Daytime Bicycle Detection, Intersection Support & Emergency Steering Assist (TSS 3.0)

PCS in TSS 3.0 may warn you of oncoming pedestrians or vehicles when making a left turn at an intersection, as well as an on-coming pedestrian when performing a right-hand turn and provide emergency braking in certain conditions. They also feature Emergency Steering Assist, which is designed to stabilize the driver’s emergency steering maneuver and keep the vehicle in its lane when avoiding pedestrian, cyclist or another vehicle under specific conditions. PCS is further enhanced with TSS 3.0 and adds intersection collision avoidance for crossing vehicles, low speed collision avoidance to prevent rear ending another vehicle. In certain situations it can also help detect motorcycles.

Full Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with Curve Speed Management

DRCC in TSS 2.5+ and 3.0 is enhanced with a Curve Speed Management function that will determine if the vehicle speed needs to be reduced when approaching a curve on the road and decelerate automatically when driving through a curve if required.

Lane Departure Alert with Guard Rail Detection

Lane Departure Alert for TSS 3.0 includes features from TSS 2.5 and 2.5+ like Steering Assist and Road Edge Detection. But for added peace of mind, TSS also includes added features like Guard Rail Detection, which can alert the driver if they are getting too close to guardrail. TSS 3.0 also adds Motorcycle Detection.

Automatic High Beam

All TSS packages feature Automatic High Beam (AHB) headlamps. The system reacts to oncoming headlamps or preceding taillamps, automatically switching from high-beam to low-beam and then back again once the coast is clear.

Lane Tracing Assist with Offset Passing and Emergency Driving Stop System

Vehicles equipped with TSS 3.0 now host valuable additional features like Offset Passing, and Emergency Driving Stop System which can bring the vehicles to a stop under certain conditions where an inattentive driver may not be responding to prompts to retain control of the vehicle.

It is not a collision-avoidance system or a substitute for safe and attentive driving. Effectiveness is dependent on many factors including road, weather and vehicle conditions. 15 Automatic High Beams operate at speeds above 34 km/h. Factors such as a dirty windshield, weather, lighting and terrain limit effectiveness, requiring the driver to manually operate the high beams. See Owner’s Manual for additional limitations and details.

Front Cross Traffic Alert

Available Front Cross Traffic Alert utilizes front lateral side radar to indicate when an unseen vehicle is approaching from a side direction and alert the driver.

Lane Change Assist

Available Lane Change Assist employs sensors to detect and warn motorists about approaching cars in adjacent lanes.

Traffic Jam Assist

Available Traffic Jam Assist17 helps take some of the stress out of the low-speed, stop-and-go highway driving in a traffic jam by providing acceleration, braking, and hands-free steering assistance while you drive.
