Dynamic Rear Steering

The Crown Platinum grade features Dynamic Rear Steering, which provides greater handling performance, response and stability by having the rear wheels turn in coordination with the front wheels, at varying speeds, when steering is applied.

Platinum Rear eAXLE

On the Platinum grade the Full-time Electronic AWD adds a rear wheel eAXLE with a high-output water cooled motor. This rear motor makes it possible to distribute more torque to the rear wheels than the conventional E-Four system. The result is a sense of linear acceleration that grows rapidly with every press on the throttle.

Suspension Systems

Crown boasts exceptional ride comfort and straight-line stability thanks to a MacPherson-type strut in the front and newly developed multilink rear suspension in the rear. On Platinum, the high output 2.4-litre Turbo Hybrid Engine and Rear eAXLE is matched with an adaptive variable suspension (AVS). It instantly adjusts and optimizes ensuring responsiveness and stability over any surface.

Standard All-Wheel Drive

Both Crown models are equipped with an innovative Electronic On-demand AWD system for added confidence no matter the conditions. On the Limited, the standard AWD uses a separate rear-mounted electric motor to power the rear wheels when needed.

TNGA-K Platform with Active Noise Reduction

The high-strength TNGA-K platform is your first defense against noise reduction. Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian (Daytime & Low-Light) & Daytime Bicycle Detection, Intersection Support & Emergency Steering Assist (TSS 3.0)

PCS in TSS 3.0 may warn you of oncoming pedestrians or vehicles when making a left turn at an intersection, as well as an on-coming pedestrian when performing a right-hand turn and provide emergency braking in certain conditions. They also feature Emergency Steering Assist, which is designed to stabilize the driver’s emergency steering maneuver and keep the vehicle in its lane when avoiding pedestrian, cyclist or another vehicle under specific conditions. PCS is further enhanced with TSS 3.0 and adds intersection collision avoidance for crossing vehicles, low speed collision avoidance to prevent rear ending another vehicle. In certain situations it can also help detect motorcycles.

Full Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with Curve Speed Management

DRCC in TSS 2.5+ and 3.0 is enhanced with a Curve Speed Management function that will determine if the vehicle speed needs to be reduced when approaching a curve on the road and decelerate automatically when driving through a curve if required.

Lane Departure Alert with Guard Rail Detection

Lane Departure Alert for TSS 3.0 includes features from TSS 2.5 and 2.5+ like Steering Assist and Road Edge Detection. But for added peace of mind, TSS also includes added features like Guard Rail Detection, which can alert the driver if they are getting too close to guardrail. TSS 3.0 also adds Motorcycle Detection.

Automatic High Beam

All TSS packages feature Automatic High Beam (AHB) headlamps. The system reacts to oncoming headlamps or preceding taillamps, automatically switching from high-beam to low-beam and then back again once the coast is clear.

Lane Tracing Assist with Offset Passing and Emergency Driving Stop System

Vehicles equipped with TSS 3.0 now host valuable additional features like Offset Passing, and Emergency Driving Stop System which can bring the vehicles to a stop under certain conditions where an inattentive driver may not be responding to prompts to retain control of the vehicle.

7 Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection (PCS)
The TSS Pre-Collision System is designed to help avoid or reduce the impact speed and damage in certain frontal collisions only. The Pedestrian Detection system is designed to detect a pedestrian ahead of the vehicle, determine if impact is imminent and help reduce impact speed. It is not a substitute for safe and attentive driving. System effectiveness depends on many factors, such as speed, size and position of pedestrians, driver input and weather, light and road conditions. 8 Lane Tracing Assist (LTA)
Lane Tracing (Trace) Assist (LTA) is designed to read visible lane markers and detect other vehicles under certain conditions. When potential lane departure is detected, LTA provides a visual warning and either an audible alert or vibration in the steering wheel and can apply a slight steering force. It is not a collision-avoidance system or a substitute for safe and attentive driving. Effectiveness is dependent on many factors including road, weather and vehicle conditions. 9 Automatic High Beam (AHB)
Automatic High Beams operate at speeds above 34 km/h. Factors such as a dirty windshield, weather, lighting and terrain limit effectiveness, requiring the driver to manually operate the high beams. See Owner’s Manual for additional limitations and details.

10 Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC)
Dynamic Radar Cruise Control is designed to assist the driver and is not a collision-avoidance system or a substitute for safe and attentive driving practices. 14 Intersection Turning Assist System
The Intersection Turning Assist system is designed to detect a pedestrian or approaching vehicle at intersections under certain conditions, determine if impact is imminent and help reduce impact speed. It is not a substitute for safe and attentive driving. System effectiveness depends on many factors, such as speed, type of turning maneuver, intersection layout, size and position of pedestrian and weather, light and road conditions. Take the guesswork out of parking. Standard on Platinum models, Intuitive Parking Assist helps you steer, accelerate, brake and shift into and out of the perfect parking position every time.

Standard Panoramic View Monitor

Multiple cameras provide multiple exterior angles viewable on the 12.3” touchscreen. Views include a 360° top-down panorama, as well as Side Clearance, Cornering and See-through Views. All designed to provide the driver with information and confidence in any driving situation.

Blind Spot monitor12 with Safe Exit Assist13

For added safety and peace of mind, Crown comes standard with a Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) with Safe Exit Assist (SEA). BSM alerts you to the presence of vehicles in adjacent lanes that may have escaped visibility in your side-view mirrors. While SEA alerts you to oncoming traffic before you open the door to exit.

11 Do not overly rely on Intuitive Parking Assist and use only in accordance with applicable laws. When parking using the hands-free feature, always pay attention to the vehicle’s surroundings. Before operating, refer to Owner’s Manual for additional instructions and limitations.

12 BSM: Do not rely exclusively on the Blind Spot Monitor System and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert System. They are not collision-avoidance systems or substitutes for safe and attentive driving.

13 Safe Exist Assist: Do not rely exclusively on Safe Exit Assist. Always look for approaching traffic before exiting the vehicle. There are limitations to the function, detection and range of the Safe Exit Assist system. See Owner's Manual for additional limitations and details.

16 Traffic Jam Assist
Traffic Jam Assist: Do not rely exclusively on Traffic Jam Assist and use only in accordance with applicable laws. They are not collision-avoidance systems or substitutes for safe and attentive driving. This system is designed to operate only under speeds of approximately 40 km per hour, and the driver monitor camera must confirm the driver has their eyes on the road to allow for hands-free operation.
