18 Lane Change Assist uses the vehicle’s millimeter wave radar to monitor the surrounding environment while driving. When the drive holds the turn signal lever up or down partway ahead of a lane change, the monitoring system can detect traffic that may be in the other lane and alert the driver. Safe Exit Assist alerts you to oncoming traffic before you open the door to exit.

This system uses a camera located above the steering wheel to monitor a driver’s alertness and condition.

Standard on all models, the Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) alerts you to vehicles in adjacent lanes that may have escaped visibility in your side-view mirrors. Safe Exit Assist uses the Blind Spot Monitor radar to help prevent a collision between an open door and a vehicle or cyclist approaching from behind.
