Level 1: Under ideal conditions, you can charge from 10% to 100% in approximately 50 hours[4].
Level 2: Under ideal conditions, you can charge from 10% to 100% in approximately 3.5 hours with a 7-kW Charger (240V at 32A) for all grades of RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid or approximately 2.5 hours with an 11-kW Charger (240V at 48A) but only applicable to the XSE Technology package[4]
Level 3: Under ideal conditions, you can charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 35 minutes[5] although a number of variables will result in significantly longer charge times such as external air temperatures, charger type/condition, accessory use, and battery level and condition. Available on the RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid XSE Technology Package only.
Do I need special equipment to charge the RAV4 Plug-In Hybrid?
The RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid makes charging easy, with a standard Dual Voltage Charging Cable (120V/240V), and available Level 2 and 3 charging connectors, so you can plug-in at home, at work, or at most public EV charging stations.
